Story & scenario submission terms

Effective 27 September 2026

These terms apply when you submit an original story or scenario to AnyVerse (“the Service”, operated by Nex41 Ltd, Company No. 17479698, registered in England and Wales, “we”, “us”). By submitting, you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t submit.

1. Who can submit

You must be 16 or older. If you’re under 18, you confirm that a parent or guardian agrees to these terms on your behalf.

2. Your work is your own

You confirm that everything you submit:

  • is your own original work, written by you;
  • doesn’t copy, plagiarise, or infringe anyone else’s copyright, trademark, privacy, or other rights;
  • doesn’t contain anyone’s confidential information or real people depicted without a lawful basis.

AnyVerse worlds, characters, settings, and lore are our intellectual property. Your submission is a community work set in those worlds; submitting it doesn’t give you any ownership of the worlds or the Service.

3. The licence you give us

You keep the copyright in your text. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sub-licensable licence to:

  • publish, host, display, and share your submission on the Service and our channels;
  • lightly edit it for length, clarity, formatting, and moderation;
  • adapt it into playable scenarios and other derivative works within AnyVerse (for example, turning a highly-rated story into a scenario players can play);
  • use your chosen name or handle to credit you.

This licence lets us keep your published work and any scenarios based on it available even if you later ask us to remove the original text; wherever practical we’ll honour removal requests for both.

4. Credit

If we publish your submission or adapt it into a scenario, we’ll credit you using the name or handle you provided, using reasonable efforts. Let us know if you’d prefer to stay anonymous.

5. No obligation, no payment

We curate. Submitting doesn’t guarantee publication, and every submission is reviewed before anything goes live. Unless we agree otherwise in writing, submissions are unpaid and you’re not entitled to any fee, royalty, or other compensation.

6. Content standards

Don’t submit anything that:

  • is illegal, or promotes illegal acts;
  • is hateful, harassing, or incites violence against people or groups;
  • sexualises minors, or is otherwise obscene;
  • defames or invades the privacy of a real, identifiable person;
  • infringes intellectual-property or other rights;
  • contains malware, spam, advertising, or personal data of others.

7. Moderation and removal

We may edit, decline, unpublish, or remove any submission at any time, at our discretion — including anything that breaches these terms. You can ask us to remove your submission at any time, and we’ll do so within a reasonable period (subject to section 3 for works already adapted into scenarios).

8. Your data

If you give us your email, we’ll use it only to contact you about your submission and related AnyVerse and TellerCraft information. We won’t add you to a marketing list without your separate consent. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle personal data.

9. Warranties and indemnity

You warrant that you hold all rights needed to grant the licence in section 3 and that your submission complies with these terms. You agree to indemnify us against claims, losses, and costs arising from your breach of these terms or from your submission infringing someone else’s rights.

10. No warranty; liability

The submission and publishing process is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law, we’re not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t be limited by law.

11. Changes

We may update these terms; the version in force when you submit applies to that submission. We’ll post the current version here with its effective date.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
